CuadraFio™ Game Overview
Overview
CuadraFio™ is a competitive puzzle game in which players aim to be the first to place all their puzzle tiles onto an expanding 8x8 grid. As the grid grows, players strategically connect tiles featuring elemental sides - Fire, Water, and Wind - to outmaneuver their opponents.
Objective
The primary goal is to place all your tiles first. If no player can do so, the winner is determined by having the fewest points based on the Fire connectors remaining on unplaced tiles.
Game Components
Puzzle tiles: Divided into three types: Corner, Border, and Interior.
Elemental Sides
Fire: Only connects with Water; these connectors affect scoring if no one finishes placing their tiles.
Water: Only connects with Fire and remains neutral in scoring.
Wind: Must be placed along the grid’s outer edge and cannot connect to other tiles.
Gameplay
The game begins with an Interior piece placed at the center, forming the initial seed of the grid.
Players take turns in a counterclockwise order, placing one piece at a time so that its sides correctly align with the last piece played.
As more tiles are added, Border and Corner tiles gradually define the grid's boundaries.
Special Rules
Final Piece Swap: If a player is down to one Interior piece (with only Water connectors), they may swap it with one of the next player’s face-down titles.
Winning the Game
Completing the Grid: Be the first to place all your titles.
Scoring: If no player finishes, the winner is determined by the lowest score calculated from the remaining Fire connectors.
